This time last year, I was making plans for our five-year anniversary.
We would be going here:
That would be the Greek Islands.
Given anywhere in the world for a romantic getaway, we chose to bask in the sun on the temperate, heavenly islands of Greece.
We would fly in to Athens early in the week, taste the culture by venturing through Greece south toward the crystal blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea, then spend a relaxing week lazing on the white sandy beaches, island-hopping from paradise to paradise, and eating our fill of rich, delicious Greek food.
It wouldn’t be cheap, but we’d been saving for it since our wedding day, and this would be a once-in-a-lifetime vacation to celebrate five years together.
So where am I right now?
Basking in bright fluorescent lights of my temperate office. Preparing to venture through metro Atlanta on my commute home, then get my fill of rich, delicious low-calorie dinner to help with the post-baby weight.

…and I wouldn’t have it any other way. There’s no vacation that could bring me the joy I get when I watch him do this:
…but I’m still hoping we can make that Greek vacation happen someday… 🙂
