Chattanooga and July 4th

Andy and I spent our first night away from the kid in Chattanooga this weekend and it was *fabulous!* I forgot how much I love sleeping until I’m done sleeping.

No I didn’t. I never forget that.

We rented a boat and spent a day on the Chattahoochee River, filled ourselves with tasty tapas and fancy desserts and didn’t have to organize our schedules around someone else’s naptime. What a perfect quickie vacation!

On the way home, we found out that Lifehacker, Andy’s favorite blog of all time, had picked up our post about our pantry lighting hack. We’re both sufficiently stoked about that.

I hope you’re all having a fantastic holiday. Happy Independence day, Americans!

Let's connect

  2. Happy 4th! Looks like you had a fun, relaxing time! 🙂

  3. Heaven! Glad you were able to sneak away from the little guy. In a few years you’ll be waking him up at noon.

  4. Looks like the perfect way to spend the 4th! Sun, water, good food and great company. Our weekend was so wonderful….I’m definitely a little disappointed to be headed back to real life tomorrow!

  5. Ooo, this looks fun….also makes me not want to have children. 😛

  6. I don’t have a kid yet, but you already have me wanting to ditch them in favor of a weekend away. My future kids might be mad at you right now.

  7. Sounds like an amazing getaway! Sleep is something that is not appreciated until you get a full night’s sleep!! I hope you are able to getaway every once in awhile and enjoy life.
