Be Honest: Could You Do It?

I dare you.

I dare you to watch this video and not be changed. Every second is worth watching, but if you don’t have time to watch this whole video, skip to about 3:30, and watch it until 5:40. I dare you. Because I want to know, honestly, in the deepest part of your heart, could you do what Meagan does?

If you’re just jumping in here, we are working together during the month of July to send Meagan – the woman in the video – to Africa for five years to care for the orphans there. I’m donating 100% of my income from this blog for the month of July, and I’m asking you for JUST $10.

Only $10 to help send Meagan, who will do the hardest thing.

If you thought sending Meagan to Africa is important because the orphans need someone to nurture them, to care for them, to raise them up…

you were right.

But you were only halfway there.

Because Meagan is doing so much more than that. Watch her talk about doing the most impossible thing.

And then doing it again.

And again.

And again. Fifty-seven times. But not letting that deter you.

As Meagan says in the video: “It makes me want to hold these kids as they die and to fight for them and to make sure that even in these moments as they’re leaving us that they are held and loved and never feel alone.”

Could you do it?

If you can’t be there to help these babies never feel alone, let’s send Meagan. We can help make her way easier. And make it possible for even these tiny, sweet children to know they are not alone in this world.

Ten dollars from you will help make that possible. Will you join me? (Click here to see how to donate.) This fundraiser ends at the end of July, so this is my final plea, the final time I will ask you to join me as we do something that matters, that stretches across continents and into the hearts of children who didn’t ask for any of this.

And I want to know… could you do what Meagan does? (Click here to see how to donate.)

  1. Um, so this is what I get for waking up at 3:30 with insomnia, now I’m the only one up (all kids are sleeping) and I’m watching Megan and crying.

    Tweeting about this now…

  2. Amazing! She is such a blessing!

  3. wow! Wow! And that even seems inadequate! Thank you so much for sharing this. Our church sponsors a school and church in Tanzania. Such a blessing.

  4. Wow, such a powerful post and video. Thank you so much for sharing! I actually went on a mission trip to Malawi, Africa. We got to work with the teachers there, the go-go grandmothers and the preschools in the villages. It was absolutely life changing. I will pray for Meagan as she embarks on this journey! What a blessing she is. Please keep us posted on what she’s doing!! 🙂
