Your work is amazing….my husband and I have been renovating our home since the moment we moved in 13 years ago. We are kitchen-less right now because we got the bright idea to tear everything out to the studs, and I was so excited to see that you used the same materials/colors as we are. I can’t wait and I hope we have as beautiful of a kitchen as you do when we are finished! You have a beautiful eye for design and you’ve made me rethink about decorating with plates, you have managed to take the “grandma” out of it.

I like the blue color you painted. Can you tell me the exact color and who makes it please? I’m trying to find a blueish color for my bedroom.
Thanks!

Thanks! It’s called “Brittany Blue” and it’s by Benjamin Moore, but we color-matched it to Lowe’s Valspar brand paint.

Wow, I just tried to subscribe to my own blog via email and had no idea how terrible that process was. Thanks so much for letting me know! It should be fixed now, so you can go to my homepage (www.viewalongtheway.com), then click the “subscribe” button at the top right (just above my face), and you should be able to click on “Get * View Along the Way * delivered by email” there on the right. I hope that works for you, and thanks again for alerting me to the terrible subscribe situation I had going on. :)

I love what you did so far. Wow, you can really tell you put in the time and thought. I am working on redecorating or renovated home right now and taking it slowly. I will splurge on some things but save in other areas because I like to think I am a smart shopper (like you). After seeing and reading this I feel I have to ask you to look at my product. You mentioned window treatments… I was a drapery designer and invented a no-sew cornice that looks great for cheep. Check it out if you get a minute http://www.mydecowrap.com. It is great for kids rooms, baths too. Good luck with everything!

Where can I find the wicker bar stools that you have in your kitchen?

Hi Beth! They came from Target a couple years ago. They’re pretty nice except that the legs get scuffed up easily.

I am soooooooooooo impressed! You have wonderful taste and a terrific sense of how to decorate. I’m really proud of you and happy for you! I love using older pieces as accessories and having them recovered. I have learned to strip and stain via wonderful friends. I like to use pieces you wouldn’t expect in various rooms, such as a beautiful chest of drawers in the living room instead of bedroom. I keep my table linens in there. Also, when I have my chairs resupholstered or slipcovered I have a rocking unit + swivel unit put under them so they can swiver/rock. It’s a great addition.

WOW! 8-O All hail the DIY Queen Kelly! I really just wanted to see the upholstered bed, but I got hooked. Daggumit, now I need a new computer because I’ve been drooling all over mine looking at your home. Talk about inspiration! I think my husband is going to hide the power tools now… (and there is nothing wrong with ceiling fans!)

OMG! I just looked at your house tour and I think we have the same pillows and your paint looks close to my, glass slipper by Benjamin Moore. Funny, because I only found your blog recently. Looks like we are digging the same vibe ;) . Your dining room is absolutely beautiful.
